Overview

On 2013, we’ll cross the Rockies to the Queen City of the Plains – Denver, Colorado – to see and share how High Performance Computing has become integral to every aspect of modern life. From bioengineering to economics, consumer products to medical marvels, advanced science to public safety to entertainment and daily life, HPC is everywhere.

And what better place to celebrate our 25th year than in Denver, Colorado. Located near the center of the continental United States, at the convergence of mountain and prairie, where high rise buildings greet open range, and the earth touches the sky, Denver is a community that boldly exudes integration, unity and vision.

SC in Denver is the ideal combination of content and location, providing a unique environment in which attendees can meet, explore, learn, and collaborate. The conference will feature even more meeting and exhibit space than SC12, allowing us to showcase even more fully SC’s unparalleled technical program.

Located in the heart of downtown Denver along Cherry Creek and near the Denver Performing Arts Complex and the famous 16th Street Pedestrian Mall, the Colorado Convention Center is surrounded by everything you need for a comfortable and pleasurable stay. With 8400 hotel rooms within easy walking distance, breakout meetings will be convenient and easy. And with over 300 restaurants close by, as well as LoDo - Denver’s hip downtown historic district - you’ll have plenty of lunch, dinner or late night options. What’s more, the Mile High City is known as one of the nation’s liveliest, cleanest and pedestrian friendly cities. Everything you’ll need while at SC13 is just a hop, skip, or shuttle bus away.

Getting to Denver’s easy, too. Denver International Airport is the second largest airport in the world, and has consistently ranked as one of the top dozen world busiest airports. With its central location the US, and major international connections, getting to Denver and home again should be convenient and comfortable.
