HPCI Promotions
Greetings:
We are writing to ask for your organization's support for the HPC Interconnections program at the SC13 Conference to be held Nov. 17-22, 2013 in Denver. As you know, the SC Conference is the international conference for high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis. Not only does SC provide a global forum for sharing research and innovation, the conference also serves as an entryway for newcomers to become part of this community. HPC Interconnections, formerly called SC Communities, is a structured program dedicated to helping students, early-career professionals, educators, international attendees, and others make important connections to get the most out of their time at SC.
To extend the benefits of the HPC Interconnections program to even more attendees, we are asking organizations to make contributions that will provide scholarships and travel support to students and educators who would like to attend SC but may not be able to on their own. Remember the excitement and awe of attending your first conference, finding new professional connections and discovering new research resources? Please consider our request to enable others to have this same experience. Help us to make a real difference in someone’s career, to broaden the understanding of high performance computing and to strengthen the high performance computing workforce.
Each contribution will go toward enhancing the HPC Interconnections programs for students and educators, which include Broader Engagement, HPC Educators, Student Volunteers, Experiencing HPC for Undergraduates, Student Cluster Competition, and Doctoral Showcase. Click here for the list of promotional levels and benefits. Your generous support will also benefit your organization by helping to develop a diverse next generation of the HPC workforce and by giving your organization greater exposure at SC13. Organizations donating $5,000 or more will be invited to participate in the Student Job Fair, allowing your recruiters to meet directly with promising job candidates.
Thank you for considering this important opportunity.
Sincerely,
William Gropp, General Chair, SC13
Elizabeth Jessup, HPC Interconnections Chair, SC13
