Where do I stay while I’m in town for SC13?
Check out the SC13 housing page for details on the official conference hotels. A range of prices is available, and free internet access is included with all rooms booked through the SC13 website.
How do I get from the airport to my hotel?
It is roughly a 30-minute drive from DIA to the SC13 hotels in downtown Denver, and happily there are many transportation options available to help move you from the airport to your hotel.
This transportation guide lists many of those options, from rental cars and taxis to express buses. Options range from limousines and taxis to public transportation with express buses. ACM also partnered with SuperShuttle to offer SC13 attendees a discount on their ride from the airport.
For full directions, please see the Denver International Airport's web site at flydenver.com.
For those interested in public transportation, the AF bus stops near the hotels and convention center; the SC13 General Chair has walked to the Market Street station and taken the AF bus to the Denver Airport.
How will I get from my hotel to the Convention Center each day?
All SC13 hotels are located close to the Colorado Convention Center, and more than half of them are within 3 blocks. Because of the close proximity, SC13 is not providing shuttle bus transportation from hotels to the conference each day, however many hotels are close to Denver’s light rail system which stops just outside the Colorado Convention Center; this map shows the light rail in relation to conference hotels. Taxis are also generally available at downtown hotels.
What is there to do outside the conference in Denver?
Denver has much to offer you while you are in town for the conference: from world-class attractions and natural wonders to a thriving arts scene and dozens of innovative and acclaimed restaurants. While you’re here, you owe it to yourself to discover the best that the Mile High City has to offer. Discover more about Denver.
What’s the weather like/how should I pack?
The biggest surprise for visitors to Denver is the climate. The arid conditions bring only 8 to 15 inches of annual precipitation and locals wake up to more than 300 days of sunshine a year.
November in Denver is generally mild, with an average highs in the mid-60 degree F range (19 C) and average lows near 30 degrees F (0 C).
I’m coming from overseas, do you have information especially for me?
